This little piece of Heaven that is my yard is always there to delight my senses, thanks for the time spent keeping the birdbaths cleaned and refilled, the flowerbeds mulched and weeded, the grass mowed. It is a peaceful place; hope you enjoy it, too!

What a beautiful, peaceful place! I know how much work it takes to keep it that way but it is worth it. The color of the iris are a bit unusual but so pretty.

Thank you, geniebenie! There are so many different varieties of iris (and daylilies ... there are thousands of varieties!), but I miss the light tan/beige smaller iris of my youth that had a wonderful fragrance. These two varieties have a nice smell, but not like the one of my girlhood. My nose will know it when I smell it, if ever we cross paths with it again! Thank you for the thoughtful, kind comment. I will be setting out lawn chairs and benches soon for those seeking a quiet place in the shade (or sun) to just soak in the blessings and watch the birds (and butterflies, hummingbirds, etc.)!

You have just as beautiful yard as I do. I have some irises that are that color. I'm not much of a gardner but do have flowers that were planted here before I moved out here with my husband. I just love the wildness of where I live. Thanks for your wonderful comment. Enjoy your lovely garden. It does look inviting.
