Interesting. What compelled the drivers who went forward? Perceived pressure from the cars behind? Attendance policy at work? Ego/bravado/daring? Grew up in a flood plain and guessed that passage was safe? Blind faith that the authorities would have closed the freeway if the road were not passable? What was the story of the sideways car? Did he venture into a current of change his mind? What was the story of the black car with the door ajar? What would you do? Why? Ivan: I'm with you. I wouldn't have crossed. esperanza: I wouldn't have crossed b/c it's obvious that the road is far too flooded for driving. Looking at the headlights of the car on the left side of the picture, it's obvious this is at least 18 if not more inches of standing (flowing?) water.
