An eagle returns to the nest with some new green matter. It has been suggested that the eagles use this to possibly freshen the nest.

Great shot. Congrats on the A.C. I have been watching the eagle cam in Decorah. I have seen them bring in fresh grasses to bed the nest, and I am sure to cover up animals parts they did not eat. Thanks so much for sharing your great picture!
