A small plane crashed in the water a few hundred yards from the Portland Headlight today, and (sadly) the pilot survived only a short time. It is unclear whether or not others were on the plane, so search and rescue divers, boats and helicopters spent hours working the scene.

I'm basically a "purist": no Photoshop, no HDR, no SLR (sigh!), and only minimal enhancements to my photos. What I share is my world pretty much as it looks to me during its finer moments. Most of my photos come from the 'hood, which includes my lovely Presumpscot River and the nearby "Sanctuary" below its dam where I go to reflect, heal and appreciate the gifts in my life. Thanks to all of you who consistently find time to comment on photos, both mine and those of others. You are a community of caring photographers and friends, and I'm thankful to be a part of it! |
