Because of our week of record breaking Temps here in Bettendorf, IA, the neighbor's tree bloomed and lost its blossoms 3 weeks early. What will April bring?

We are seeing the same thing South of you. The pear trees, redbuds, dogwoods, etc are all blooming early and dropping early. April will look like late May.

Very beautiful tree! Here in Buffalo, NY everything is beginning to bloom. Usually we get snow thru April so everything is very confused...including us.

same deal in California,the bee's were put out for the orchards at least a month early and my peach trees are losing there blossoms already when they normally would just now start to be budding out

Never thought about the insects not being here to help pollinate things. Although, I did see a bumble bee the other day. Hopefully, they got the memo and all will be well.

gatyamgal I am a housewife and live in Bettendorf, Iowa. I have always been interested in nature pictures. My dad did not share my interest. "It's not a picture without people in it!" I think there is room in the world for both kinds. I started here with an exilim pocket camera. I upgraded to an Olympus in the Summer of 2012. In January of 2013 I got a Samsung smart camera. Really nice! I like taking pictures along the shore of the Mississippi River which is just 10 blocks away from my house. I love looking at other people's pictures also.
