Gee, thanks everyone!! thanks approvers for the blue!! much appreciated! these little guys are so appealing. I hope to see them 'booted' from the nest, I hear that sometimes takes place in the dark of the nite! Nature sure is amazing!!I'd love to just camp out on my friends deck and wait until all the eggs hatch - it's my understanding the eggs are laid one each day for however many eggs, then they all hatch one hour apart - mom and dad don't feed them, they just scoot them into the water where they begin to feed - I was intrigued!!

Thanks again everybody!! my friend called a couple of hours ago to tell us they all (8 of them) jumped off the ivy ledge and into the river - off they went with mom and dad on life's adventure!! Dave said he would have called us sooner, but it all happened within a minute after mom stood up!!!
