Never having seen it 'in person,' I can honestly say that I am saddened to see this special rock imprisoned behind such a structure. Better that it continue to be exposed to the elements, and available to human hands to touch -- even at the risk of being loved to death -- than made such a pitiful, abject object made 'monument' by man's architecture. It's a fine photo, so nothing against your skills. It's just that the subject seems more like a prisoner-of-war than an historic rock.

And I have never seen from this angle, Alan! The Rock looks quite grand from below. Besides your unique view of things, it is incredible, too, how you find usual sites in unusual situations. It had never crossed my mind that it was possible to walk on the shore beyond the rock at low tide.

About isight
isight Living on Cape Cod in this beautiful spot, trying to notice what the days have to offer, playing along with life as it unfolds, celebrating the wonder of it all. Learning from and being inspired by all the marvelous images and myriad visions expressed; having great fun with comments, titles and captions. And although my vision has blurred, my 'vision' - what I notice that I try to convey - is clearer. This enthusiastic, supportive community is quite exceptional.
