This intense storm traveled from Kansas up into Nebraska. It intesified in strength and produce several comfirmed tornadoes. It was awsome. I have never seen the atmosphere move that way before.

Question: What is that 'tall thing' sticking out of the ground beneath the cloud on the far right?
Amazing photo! Looks like there should be something like a UFO hiding inside that cloud somewhere! Love photos like this!!!
I've never seen anything like this before so thank you, live4storms, for sharing with us!
By the way, did any other picture get as many votes as this one? This shows how impressive it is.
Awesome shot!
This has to be the most amazing capture ever, and YOU! got it!!!! COngrats!!! Hope it made into a magazine by now??!! or heck,,make your own!!I am real impressed! we see the beginnings of these monsters,,or parts of them,,but they usually are so spread out,,,it is most amazing when the colors are dark gray, light purple, and dark green and purple!! but here in Shenandoah,Iowa, the worst of it goes around town or high over head,,,did hear the freight train over head once,or twice,,!
There is a legend about this town,,that it is why the Indigenous peoples preferred this location because the tornadoes never touched down...must be a Ripley's kind of thing,,as I have lived here 18 yrs,,and seen funnels outside of town,a mile or so,,and they apparently elbow above town..A special favorite cos it's near Iowa in a way..but because it is the most awesome capture yet!Mindi
