I was out at the Tallgrass Prairie in Oklahoma at sunrise yesterday. Too beautiful to describe the huge orange ball coming up on the horizon. After a few shots of the sunrise, I found a herd of a few hundred Buffalo moving east across the Prairie. This guy seemed to be by himself with a couple of females ahead of him. I found a place that was safe and could even hear them breathing and grunting. I was there for 4 hours before I knew it.

Hello. My name is Mike. I moved from a very large city in California to a small city in northeastern Oklahoma, USA. I am enjoying the slower lifestyle in Oklahoma and taking pictures of flowers, sunsets, sunrises, clouds, storms insects and hills. I have an engineering degree, but I minored in Biology so I really enjoy studying nature and how God engineered it. I've always loved photography but digital macro photography and weather photography are my favorites. Slowing down to study the small things, like flowers, has continually reminded me that God gives us many blessings that are simply for our pleasure and He is the designer of beauty. |
