Hmmmm I do believe this is a bluebird, the barn swallows have a darker brown black color to them. Nice closeup capture of this bird for sure, thanks for sharing!

Sorry, I guess the colors are a little more blended in your photo. I can see the difference now between the bluebird and the barn swallow, it is the full dianmond crest shape of rusty brown color. I love bluebirds and I guess when I first saw this pic, I thought it was one.
