I feel your pain! I have a squirrel proof feeder that I've had for over 15 years and it really works. I just checked Amazon.com and they have some made by Heritage Farms that are very similar to mine. Kind of expensive, but it's worth it to outsmart the little devils!

My advice -- Just give up and enjoy them! I have never see a squirrel feeder that actually works. LOL. You would have to hang the thing 10 feet from any pole or tree because they just jump across. And if that's too far, then they will just go out the branch and leap like a monkey. I just used to put the food on the ground and the squirrels and birds would eat together.
