Found another one inside the fenced utility area where at least it was safe from the dogs, if not from snakes, which might be hiding under the piles of lumber and other such items. Sure wish they'd have stayed in their nest until they were a bit more feathered out!

If you keep them warm, and feed them a warm mash of cat food, hard boiled eggs, finely crushed egg shells, and maybe some ground cooked chicken or beef, applesauce, carrot puree, they'll do just fine. I've used a sock filled with rice that I microwaved a few minutes, then wrapped in a towel, and put the bird near it. Not too hot! Mockingbirds figure out quick who's there to feed them. Best, though, if you've got the time and there's a wild bird rescue center near you.
Otherwise, there will be happy snakes. And sad as that may be for these little guys, that's a good thing too.
Nice series!
