Thank you :) It was a scary hike. We got caught in the approaching weather, lightning very close-by near the Alum Bluff area. But it was a great way to spend a relatively gray Saturday :)

Here's a bit more on bluffs in the area:

Such nice clarity in the river Mickey! I was caught in a lightning storm while hiking 2 weeks ago and it sure is scary. That was the 2nd time!
Glad you are safe and got some nice shots to boot!
Celebrating life, Debra

Thank you Debra. Yes, it was scary. I'm surprised I got as many good shots w/ the little Kodak PnS camera, esp. b/c I was shaking like a leaf by the time I got up there to the bluff. We wanted to hit the Bluff but half way, weather wasn't so great, so we rushed. 3 hour hike in 2 hours total.

thanks for the tip, trauma. I wouldn't want to make that trail hike at night though. 63% incline is enough in the daylight lol.

About Rotty3
Rotty3 'Canes.... Tornadoes...Fires ... ? No worries here ... Pretty much all my photos are going to be downsized to comply with WU rules as the originals generally tend to be between 2 and 5 MB and about 2500 to 4000 pixels large. Cropping and other modifications will be noted. Unless otherwise noted, all images are taken in or around North Florida. (The new WU is really not user-friendly IMO). Also, ALL images should allow for pictures. Please let me know via WU mail if you find one that's not allowing comments so I can fix it (did I mention, I'm not tickled with the new WU site and its quirks?).
