... Wind Advisory remains in effect until 9 PM MST this evening...

* timing... through early this evening.

* Winds... northwest 20 to 35 with gusts to 50 mph.

* Impacts... sudden wind gusts can cause drivers to lose
control... especially in lightweight or high profile vehicles.
Strong winds can cause blowing dust... reduced visibility... and
flying debris.

* Other impacts... areas of snow late this morning will cause reduced
visibilities at times across portions of the area... especially
the northern foothills into northwest South Dakota.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means 30 mph winds... or gusts over 45 mph... are
expected or occurring.

A strong cold front will cross northwestern South Dakota this
morning, bringing gusty northwest winds to the area. In addition,
light snow will fall across the area this morning. The combination
of snow and wind will reduce visibilities across portions of
northwestern South Dakota through noon.
